FYI: Rolex @ Wynn

Apparently, Steve Wynn sold the boutique to Watches of Switzerland as of next week. It's my favorite boutique and I hope service doesn't change. All the other dealers seem snobby, so I always end up buying from Wynn. Thoughts?

I just wanted to echo what a great boutique Wynn is, excellent staff, nice museum and always a great selection.

Sounds like the way he was running it wasn't making enough money. Why else sell?

frankly his expertise is the casino/hotel business.I think it makes sense to not directly manage the retail outlets

It's a means of managing risk. it doesn't imply he wasn't making money in the past

Rolex, but the one across the hall might be part of the deal too. Warranty card says Wynn & Co if you buy from Rolex

Than why did he decide to manage directly in the first place? There must have been an incentive to do so and the most logical aspect is projected revenue was expected to be higher in that scenario. Either way it doesn't matter he has great problems.

Well, traffic in general seems to be visually down on the strip since the Mandalay Bay shooting. Gotta please the stockholders somehow.

x2. stockholders who want a casino/entertainment resort pure play. if they want luxury retail risk, there are plenty of better stocks they can buy

Not going to lie but the gentleman that helped me this September was quite snobby. All experiences prior were great however.
