Audemars boutique discount?

Has anyone had any experience negotiating for a discount from an AP boutique? i've heard i would have a much better time negotiating from an AD than the boutique. Thoughts?

discounts are tougher from a boutique and will be less for a comparable model (assuming it is also available at an AD, which it may not be).

Good luck on that one, the general rule seems to be no discount at all from the boutique but they are more likely to make up for this with very nice gifts and factory visits.

It’s not going to do any harm to ask but just be prepared to still pay full retail in case they say no.

You would but seems like AP feeds best pieces to Boutiques so depends what you are looking for and how long yoh would want to wait. As for discounts at Boutiques the most I have ever received was 9%.

It is possible, but improbable.

At my first visit to the AP boutique in HK (company owned) in March 2017, I was about to pull the trigger on a 15202. Offered 5% off, a few gifts and invitation to a VIP event. I passed, but left a deposit on a 15407.

Fast forward to July 2017, they still had a 15202, but refused to discount a single cent and the gifts weren't as nice as the first time around. They did tell me for other references there was room to negotiate, but I got the impression they would not be as good as ADs.

The only factor I can think of was that sales in HK were very slow in March. When I was back in July, sales were booming, so no need to discount.

I was quoted 7% off a 15400st last year from the Paris boutique but expect that to be closer it not 0% now.

UK boutique/lounge as yet no purchase history but know full well discount is 0% but I’m ok with that as the pieces I’m after are boutique only and I like dealing direct with them as there are alternative perks opposed to discount.
