SS Rolex Sports Watches Availability

Once upon a time you could find SS Sub's, Sub dates, GMT, Sea Dwellers and the like in AD windows and purchase over the counter as I'm lucky enough to have a SUB and GMT when you could.

Are we now in an age where these will be like Daytonas and just not available to purchase in store going forward???

No. We're in an age where we're going to have to wait and see what kind of plans Rolex has for matching up supply to demand in 2018.

No, the SS Submariner is available ex. stock at the AD in Madeira. Both were in the window for the last two weeks so supply clearly outstripping demand there.

Ok... looks like it’s watch this space then.... I still think it’s going to be hard to locate these in most countries going forward

Apart from the GMTIIC, I’m not a huge fan of the ceramic SS sports watches.

I often wonder if I’d like the ceramic as Daytona, but having never seen it in the metal - I may not know for a while.

If you like the GMTIIC you "should" have no issue with the Daytona C in the flesh. I have both - can't see letting either go.

My wife actually likes the Daytona better than the GMT.

We’ll have to see what 2018 brings... they’re rare birds at the moment.

Well my AD says he’s been told he will have plenty of SS models to sell in the first months of the 2018, let’s hope he’s right!

Think Rolex has a smart plan from the brand side... keeping supply slightly under demand appears to be working very well for them - most members prob won’t like this comment, but it’s just the reality of business, and if it’s working very well for them (which is something everyone basically agrees on), why are they going to call an audible?

Norfolk mall has a black GMT and a air king, But no SS divers. Crazy they are all gone, plenty of omega and Tudors though.

I guess the Brits who wanted Brexit did not foresee this Rolex shortage in the UK. I feel for you guys, but there are plenty of SS models at our ADs.

Didn’t realise the shortage was restricted to the U.K. only and due to Brexit. Thanks. Good to know.

Still not sure how Brexit would be affecting the shortage of SS models in markets outside of the UK?
Possibly Brexit isn't the #1 issue regards the availability of Rolex SS watches at this time.

Black subs and GMT = not hard. Colored models are more difficult

I think being able to run your own country and not having others do it for you, that don't like you and who you pay billions to each year, outweighs whether you can get a new Rolex in the shop or have to wait for a bit.

Don't you?

Could you imagine the USA being run by a superstate of Mexico/Canada and most South American Countries. Exactly.
