Mesh Wifi (for home) works!
I live in a tri level, and had terrible wifi coverage through the home. Previously had a router in the master bedroom closet with 3 powerline wifi extenders that worked ok, but extenders usually loose half speed throughput. Also extenders run on their own network. Even though i named them all the same with the same password i would have to constantly disconnect/reconnect as i moved through the house. In the closet i would get about 60mbs, bedroom about 40mbs, livingroom about 24mbs, garage about 20mbs.
I just set up Google Wifi (3 pack) with a main router and 2 additional network "points." I now get ~60mbs in the upper bedrooms, mainfloor living room and about ~30mbs in the garage. Easy set up via mobile app was a breeze. If you have spotty wifi coverage in your home, you should give mesh routing a try. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
