Birthdays!

Two of my DJs turn 50 this year.

1968 1603 DJ.

This is the watch I wear most. From the subtle matte black and gold dial to the unassuming engine turned bezel this is a real Rolex. Did it spend it's time on a drilling rig or getting bled on in an emergency room or just getting a rinse after countless diaper changes gone wrong? :) These old DJs are what the Rolex reputation was built on. Still gorgeous, still performing perfectly. :)

1968 1625 TOG.

Happy birthday to you gorgeous!

Nice pair Richard! My very first Rolex was a two-tone Thunderbird.

Richard you are the keeper of the DateJust legacy. Yours are always beautiful. The black dialed one is perfect on that Ostrich strap. I feel sorry for all those who have never enjoyed having a classic 36mm DateJust on their wrist.

Great pair. I also have a DJ turning this year. Or 52, depending on whether you go by caseback stamp or warranty paper

That 1603 is a beauty. I’m wearing mine as I type (254xxxx serial).
Is it an ostrich leather strap?
