Sunday afternoon. Rain is gently falling on a crisp day. We gather at my in law’s for lunch.

We sit at the table, talk, catch up. Shortly after, the kids sit quietly to watch a movie. Some adults join. Others relax with a quick nap.

I make a pot of coffee, put on a jacket on go to the deck.

Weather is very similar here - met some good friends for brunch and came home opened a bottle of wine and have been relaxing this afternoon.

Some quiet time. These are the chairs in which my late father in law and myself sat to talk politics, life, business and everything in between. This, the wooden ashtray he used while we laughed.

And this, one of his favorite cigars. Still in his home humidor.
