I'm just a bit surprised at a sentiment around here lately - I've seen a number of recent posts that seem to cast anything that doesn't bear the Rolex logo as second-hand garbage. Rolex is far and away my favorite brand, but I also have a great appreciation for many others as well. There are some excellent options out there at the price point suggested by the OP - many that I would gladly wear in a rotation with a Submariner for a little spice of variety. Sorry for the lengthy rant. |

As an owner of a blue Omega SMPc 300 that i paid 2500 for -- i highly recommend it.
I bought my omega in blue, because my Sub will be black. |

couple hundred more for a 3570.50.. or if you have small wrists, a 3539.50 reduced from japan about 1500. classic watch that goes great on hundreds of different straps + bracelet.

Tudor BB41 for me. You already have a diver, so why not get something smooth bezel?

Sinn are rock solid, one of their pilots, military or vintage Lemania powered watches might fit the bill...
this is around the 2600 mark : basically a vintage Daytona with the bonus of a date and legibility..... |

that aquaracer is a nice choice especially for the price. I believe I paid 1350 BNIB from a grey dealer. Here are a few pics of mine:

I’d go either blue 76200 (still available new:)
Or blue Aqua Terra 2500 (the original and best version:) |

I would just save to ~3k-3.5k and buy a brand new speedy on the fourms. Best choice imo. However , unless it is absolutely a watch you want to keep, I would keep saving.

Nomos is a nice option.
Oris on the lower end of range. Tudor as well, though in-house models more expensive. There is a really unique option with RGM watches if you save up just a little longer. |

I would get either:
Sinn 856 S UTC (PVD coated) Glycine Airman 1 Remake Archimede Pilot 42 GMT I’m prone to GMT watches, so I’m highly biased. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

How about an Oris Divers Sixty-Five. MSRP is around $1850 (should be able to get for around $1500 or maybe less). Probably my favorite watch at this price point.
