How low will it go...?
Barely 4 wks ago you couldn't get a bnib M series stainless white/black dial daytona for less than $10.750K.
Now, $10.250K and they are everywhere. I went all out and bought mine, heck with the waiting... oh well...gotta paid if you want to play. |

Rolex shipped out a load of SS Daytonas to AD's lately, most AD's have 1 or 2 in the vault.
9200.00 price for SS Daytona with old clasp! Milgauss GV still difficult to obtain! |

From my point of view all current Rolexes in the market can be obtain at retail price or below even at AD, that is because economy, rolex watches are 35% average of total sales at AD comparing to last year.if economy could go up in a year or two you will see an increase of all of them,Daytonas and Gv are arriving in the same amounts as ever but there are less people to buy them.I have been offered in the last two months a rose gold daytona limited edition of 250 below retail,i have been offered 3 GV,4 daytonas in steel and I forgot the accounts of Deep Sea,all of them offered by AD,and daytomas below retail in AD and GV at retail price.

Not the best gauge of how low prices are going but used Daytonas SS on ebay are under $8,000:

Personally, I'd never pay above MRSP for any watch because as far as I'm concerned, buyers should be given a discount and not asked to pay a premium. Even paying exactly the MRSP goes against the grain, as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I suppose if you can't wait and you have the money....

Congrats.
I am wondering how much lower it will go. Look at some of the pre-owned SS Daytonas for sale out there. Some good deals to be had, although most of them are "old" money.

I wonder if there will be a time when they will discount the SS Daytonas again.

This is a good question and thread, I bought mine at an AD back in February, for $7,900. It was something I have wanted literally for years so there was no way I was going to flip it, but if I did, I had several thousand dollars in profit waiting for me. Now, I am sure I could get what I paid, but probaly nothing more, (As with every Rolex being able to get what you paid after you walk out of the store is still a good bargin). But I wonder what this means, is the Daytona becoming easier to get? (I asked my AD that question today and they said "no?), is the Daytona losing some of it's "lust-after" value? Or is it just a sign of the bad economy? I guess only time will tell....
