Any way to fix an insert?
The insert on my 1973 redsub has started coming out slightly from one part of the bezel. It appears the insert has a small section that has flattened over time which I believe affects the tension needed to keep it in place.
Is there any way to fix this? Is there any watchmaker with the ability to reshape the insert so it sits properly? After looking at the prices of the fat font inserts I want to cry if I can't remedy this somehow. Any advice? |

If it’s just bent slightly it could be straightened out with a little careful adjustment. Can you post some pics?
