I had a chance to see both on my wrist at AD. Love both colors. Very nice indeed.

Just had this model hit my case.......wow! perfect weight, easy readability. this is the Daytona of the future. like the all gold GMTII, it will be a precursor to the new Daytona......Daytona II perhaps?????

Love this watch

New to this forum and to the Rolex family. Any advice on where to buy for the best price?

This color combination has always appealed to me, as my case can attest. I was looking for an Ivory/gold Daytona... and once again... this color combination pops up and catches my eye.

It seems TRF has some differing opinions how cool this watch is. I'm surprised. lol
How are the AD's reporting these are selling?

The photos do not do this Daytona justice. In real time, it is stunning. But pricey.

The white dial looks weird with a black ceramic bezel

For men - a lot more women are wearing daytonas - we need a man's watch to identify with.

Despite what specs says, the real size of the Daytona is 38mm because the winding crown and chrono buttons shouldn't be included. If you pick a Sub 40mm for example you can see the difference of the size right away.
Now if you include the curvature of the case and are not just measuring the edges of the bezel, you get 40mm. But IMHO, even this curvature shouldn't be included. Otherwise a Sub would have 42mm, not 40mm instead.

Cheers

Must say I love Daytona but can't see myself with an everose on my wrist, even though the one with brown fail is beautiful to look at.
Size, well 40mm is enough for me, but agree on the date. Why not a date???

Is there any difference between 2012 and 2015/16 116520 in terms of quality, finishing, technical details and upgrades?

To be honest, all daytonas produced after the zenith one are ugly as hell. The magic of the iconic daytona noticed in James Bond movies and Paul Newman (le Mans) has faded away long time ago. Now daytonas are made in chocolate color, blue, everose, you name it. The magic is gone for this line. The improvement of this line went to the wrong direction. Looks like Rolex is making eye candy colors to sell more Rolexes to anybody who can afford it. Very disappointing. Just my opinion.
