Submariner in exchange for Airking and Milgauss?

I currently own an Airking 116900 and Milgauss 116400 black dial. I am keen to own a Submariner and would be interested to see if it’s worth swapping them for one or waiting 2 years in UK for one to be available???

A 2 for 1 is always something I'd be slightly hesitant on. Unless its a piece you absolutely have to have. But a Sub vs Milgauss and New Airking seems like you're overpaying on that one. Just my .02

Don't do it!! No matter how much you *think* you want the Sub, that deal is a flat-out, complete, 100% rip-off.

The Submariner, a great watch on all fronts is still only a watch. Look around and I'll bet you won't have to wait two years to find one.

Please, don't do this trade. As soon as the 'honeymoon' is over - you'll regret it. Financially, it's a joke.

Mark

I would trade for the Subc but would make a much better deal than straight swap.

I would make that trade but try and get some cash your way. My friend recently sold his milgauss and he had trouble getting a good quote. In the end he sold it to a local jewellers for £4.1k B&P and he couldn't quite believe it himself as no want was offering more then £3.5k

I would just decide on one of the watches you currently own and flip the other towards a sub. The AK and Milg are basically the same watch with a different dial, so I don't think it makes sense to hold both unless your collection is vast. or you really like the AK/MG

If the sub came with, say, $1500-$2000, I would do it.

The OP is wanting to trade for a sub, doesnt have one... yet. Dump the airking for sure, keep the milgauss and throw extra cash for a sub. Some good ones here on the classifieds, readily available.. no two year wait

Sorry for confusing. Good advice. Drop one you like least and add cash for sub. Sounds reasonable

It’s up to you of course. Be sure however.

116900 trade should be £3.5-3.8k and similar for Milgauss maybe...purely trade figures.
Of course depends on condition and age of both and full set etc.

That has you seriously overpaying for a £6200 Sub, although I do appreciate they are hard to find.

Here’s an idea....what about a mint 16610 black sub date, older Watch but immaculate full set. You’d get one for £6k and a beauty for £6k.....trade one watch in (116900) and add.

Then you’ve added a sub date, and kept a Milgauss.

Straight up? No. Plus cash to make up the difference? Yes.

The cheapest I've seen a unworn SubC in the UK lately is just a little over £7K.

Taking the trade in values of the Air King & Milgauss in to account it's not really that bad of a deal.

Keep the Milgauss and trade the AK plus cash. The Sub with rotating bezel and brushed bracelet will pair well with the polished smooth bezel and PCLs of the MG.

Sounds good advice to possibly sell both and buy a sub separately if obtainable and have a bit of cash to spare.
