Headed to India...deals to be had?

Just like the thread title says...I’ll be headed to India soon and curious if there any deals to be had?

Thoughts?

The AD experience is great however, buying from a trusted seller here is arguably better.... I will personally never bother w/ an AD again. I can only speak from my own experience & echo the thousands of others who have dealt with AKATAKUYA but it’s nothing but a pleasure.

I did some watch hunting in India. There was slim pickings and I did not find anything worth buying.

Good Luck to you and let us know how you do.

Given that a coworker, who’s from India, is frequently asked to shop for luxury items here before heading to India to visit.... don’t believe so and is probably the opposite.

I sell to New Delhi and Mumbai - if there where any decent deals Rolex wise (?)
I am sure my friends would have known that - and purchase there.
Also 2 grey dealers I know from India who have good stock (100 watches or more)
None buys from India...stick with the sublime food there... and buy your Rolex here.

Icon14 Yes and no.

Hello. First post here.
I’m from south India.
Just got a BLNR and a lady datejust 28.
No discounts on SS models of course. Had a surprising 10% discount on the DJ 28.
There are ADs across major cities and they do have some SS models in stock. Not definitely a Daytona or sub but the likes of airking and exp II.

Omega dealers are offering around 20% discounts though.

Good luck and have a safe journey.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to you and others who read this.

At present, MSRP is 8~9% cheaper than US prices and the price is inclusive of all taxes.. you can easily find sub or gmt II (LN) models and can get 5% discount if u shop around and know how to bargain.. if u are lucky u may find BLNR or SD 43 or D-blue but no discount..

Sky D and daytona , u have to pay full amount in advance and wait 6~18 months

If you are going to Mumbai, check out Time Avenue... they are an AD and their prices are much better than any AD in the US.

One of my favourite countries in the world to visit. Can't really help with OPs question but the people are generally wonderful and the food is a riot on the tastebuds. However, travelling any distance by road is, um, interesting.

If it's any general indicator of prices, I find the Montblanc stuff at the airport duty free to be a little on the expensive side (unless they're having a clearance sale).

That's where shop for watches and others in my Family. They're very friendly and good prices too. Check out DIA in the Taj Hotel, it's a rolex boutique

I’ll let you know what I find as well.

I almost picked up a DJ at Heathrow a couple weeks ago but I don’t think the deal was that great.

I bought a Black Bay Dark there last year...no VAT and no taxes coming into the states even though I declared it. Guess the agent was feeling lazy. I flipped it anyway.
