DJ41,too flashy...
I bought the Datejust 41 slate green Roman numerals,(Wimbledon) w/ jub bracelet about 2 weeks ago from AD. I think I’m more of a sub guy, or Omega Chrono guy. So it’s taking some time to get past the flashiness.
The workmanship and craftsmanship are superb. Will this watch become a classic, do you think an AD would accept a return of the watch, and refund my purchase price, or is this unreasonable. |

If you have worn it - I would say a refund isn't gonna happen at all.
I think that watch you bought tho is a seriously nice watch but would get a lot of attention (unwanted or not) |

I’m rolling with, they call it a sports watch. So I don’t care suit, no suit, shorts, etc...

I bought the same watch as a DJ2. I did not bond with it and I traded it in for a DJ2 in blue. But seeing your watch made me wonder if I liked it or not. I have very mixed feelings about the slate DJ

A two tone watch is always more flashy but why did you buy it in the first place?

It’s definitely flashy. I bought a DJ41 in stainless steel with the fluted bezel/Jubilee and I thought that was too flashy. It’s good for a dress watch but for daily wear, it’s too much. Contact DavidSW, he will take it in for a trade and you can get yourself something you love.

That’s harsh, REFZ. I also bought essentially the same watch and then had regrets.

My ad gives me 14 days return no questions asked, they hold the warranty card, after the 14 days is up I can pick up the warranty card or they mail it to my home.

The slate/Roman/TT is a daily wearer for me. I don't think the Jubilee would make it any more flashy. Wearing jeans and a sweater and enjoying it with the boys today playing pinball and drinking beer.

Yes, sharp. Maybe the rose gold would have a little less pop, thx for the greAt feedback, I’m going to give it another week. I agree that a DJ should be TT. I like the rose and sun dust dial, I think.....maybe.

If you don't bond with it, then you could always take a look at a steel version.

That's one if my favourite DJ's! Give it a little time, you might regret selling it. The fluted/jub combo is now *only* available on the 41mm model...it might be tough to track one down if you change your mind.
Good luck and keep us posted. Mark Sent from my SGH-I547C using Tapatalk |

As someone who gave up on it within a month or two, I agree with the advice to hold on to it a little longer. I sold mine 3 years ago or so. I like the blue DJ, but the slate two tone is interesting.

Dude, flash is a good thing!
Give it a few months to get used to your watch. |

I doubt a refund would be possible at this point. I'd say you should give it some more quality wrist time to see if you bond with it and if not, move on.

Yesterday I was trying on blue dial DJs with the fluted bezel. Both a 36 and a 41. Absolutely loved them. I might get one.
However, I do sort of chuckle when some people say a submariner is too "flashy" for the office so they're getting a DJ instead. Don't get me wrong...I don't think a blue dial DJ is too flashy for the office, but if you think any DJ is less flashy than a black dial sub, then you're just not seeing the shinny, glistening bezel and dial of the DJ the same way I'm seeing it. |

I have the same watch and I don’t find it being flashy. And frankly, who cares if it is flashy. Wear it everyday if you like it. Sell it if you don’t. I wear mine everyday and I wear suits work days and T-shirt/hoodies on weekends.
