Hi, I'm new here and I have a question about my new vintage Rolex GMT 1675. Can Anywone tell me what dial this watch have? The watch is from 1970 with serialnumber 2428xxx.

Thanks in advance!

It is called a service dial - not original but a replacement dial. If it glows in the dark it is luminova, if not it is tritium.

I buyed this watch a couple of weeks ago on chrono24. The (trusted) seller told me that all the part are original and not replaced. I have no papers. After any time I have some doubts. I hope anyone can tell me some more. Thanks!

Your watch should have a long E dial and as John has mentioned you have a service dial fitted. It also looks like it has had the hands replaced and is sporting a service insert as well, better pictures would be good as well.

Thanks Lee. Tomorrow I make better pictures and post it directly. So the seller has sold something not ok. The seller is also a watchmaker.

The dial, hands, insert and bracelet have been replaced - I believe the bracelet is a Jubilee 62510 which is much later than the watch. Your seller was misinformed, or a scoundrel.

It sounds like the watch you purchased was highly misrepresented irregardless of price. If it was me, I would be asking for a return/refund out of principle. Hopefully the seller is accommodating.

@Djay
If you are 100% certain that the seller described the watch as "all original" (i.e. not just "authentic") then the watch was badly misrepresented in the sale.

Djay, Springer is definitely one of the GMT masters (get it... get it...) on the forum. I'd definitely trust his opinion on the watch.

Pros: case looks fairly nice and sharp. Service dial appears to be tritium and is in good condition

Cons: hands don't seem to match the dial all that well (this is nitpicking). And the obvious non-original parts on it.

This doesn't mean the watch isn't worth anything. However, it should have been represented properly.

Thank you all for the good and fast answers. I'm very disappointed. The seller said that it was all original. I have it black on white. Here are some more pictures. I'm thinking wat I gonne do..

gotta be careful and gotta ask the right questions.

Playing devil's advocate - a seller isn't being dishonest if he said the watch is all original. The reality is the service parts are still original Rolex (if you define original as authentic vs. original from when the watch was sold). Secondly, assuming we are translating foreign language here so not sure what "original" meant in native tongue.

Anyway, hope you can return it.

Parts are original, but not original to the watch.

Thanks Dangur/alwasyhere. I ask an orginal watch an the watchmaker told me that the watch was
completely in original condition. So when he changed it with other original parts the watch self is not completely in original condition anymore.

Why not just demand a refund and send it back?
