What I have fund to work very well in conjuction with NAV is SpyBot search & Destroy 1.4 found at http://www.tucows.com/preview/310138 it's free and very, very good. I have found out that alot of the anti-viruses on the market have parasites built into them already so, as soon as you install and enable you are already going to get specialize screen popups that refuse to be stopped.

By running both and you must physically run the spybot program and update it to stay current whereas Norton will update as long as your computer is online and set up to do so.
