Milgauss on Toxic NATO

Good Afternoon,

I recently acquired my first Rolex, a new Milgauss. I love the design, green crystal and orange lightning bolt. I just felt the polished band was a bit too flashy for my liking.

Trying this Toxic SHIZNIT NATO in Forest green, but still not sure if I like it. Wish they made a Milgauss with a Jubilee/President style bracelet.

Let me know your thoughts.

Toxic straps are fantastic. The owner (Terry) is a great guy.

I never liked how much of a high polish the Milgauss had; takes away from the utilitarian nature of the watch IMO. On the strap however, I think it looks really great and changes my perceptions a bit. Nice one OP, wear it in good health!

Wouldn't a Jubilee be even more flashy than the Oyster with PCLs?

I think it looks pretty decent on that strap.

not terrible like i thought when i read the thread title. looks mighty toolish....but still, the polished bezel and case probably look funny on a nato in proper light.

It’s not for me. I’m not a NATO fan though.

I agree, the case should have been brushed for that tone down look.

Congrats on the Milgauss! These are awesome photos. I think it looks great on that NATO bracelet -- totally changes the look of the watch.

Thanks for the thoughtful responses. I put it back on bracelet last night, hah. I will keep waffling for awhile.

The pic doesn't do the NATO justice. It's actually green, but looks brown. It changes colors in the light. Wanted the blackout hardware to bring out the black face, instead of polished accentuating the shine.

Agreed. It's a Veteran Owned biz and he's very responsive.

Strap does no justice to the watch.

I love that watch but not a fan of the NATO.
To me, the PCLs are a plus, making the Milgauss a sport AND a dress watch.

My thoughts exactly. However, it could be that OP, like me, sees the PCL Oyster as neither here nor there. I think the polishing on the Oyster bracelet looks ugly and out of place, whereas the Jubilee is designed for it.

I like the PCLs, personally. With your solution, the two greens (strap and crystal) are incompatible and clash. It might work with another colour.

As much as I love a Rolexs on a bracelet, that actually looks pretty wicked.

Exactly. Is it possible to put a jubilee pr president on the Milgauss?

I love the Toxic Shiznit NATOs but for that watch, the black or grey with SS hardware would be much better choices.

I don't think so but I may be wrong.

I hate modern Rolex's practice of having multiple, slightly different case shapes within the same size of watch. The old system made much more sense and allowed owners to get additional OEM options for their watches.

While not a fan of the PCL's, I'll take an Oyster bracelet over a cloth strap any time.

Love the watch, but absolutely abhor the name of the strap. That being said, I don't find the strap suits the watch, but I think it would look great on a Seiko Alpinist.
