RSCBH experience
Just wanted to share with all of you my experience at RSCBH.
i have been noticing since i got my gmtiic that it always ran 3-5 seconds slower everyday and as of yesterday was a consistent 5 seconds slow. I decided to take the watch down to RSCBH to have it regulated. The staff was very kind and they immediately tended to my request; no hesitation whatsoever to handle the watch. I requested the watch be set to +2-3/day. They simply had me fill out paperwork and let me know that they will need about 30 minutes to regulate the watch. As i waited i indulged in free snacks, water and their back issues of the rolex magazine; i felt like i was waiting for my car to be serviced. When the watch was finished, the worker came out and invited me to see the watch on a machine that measured the timing, they assured me the watch was at the specification that i wanted. The experience was awesome but the drive and parking was a little out of the way. I would definitely recommend going to a RSC rather than an AD, its like not taking your own car to the dealer but rather a jiffy lube haha. |

Interesting...they actually regulated it for you while you waited? My GMT IIc has been doing the same, running slow out of specs. I gave it a couple of months since I bought it to see if it would settle down, but it hasn't changed. I'll have to give the SF RSC a call to see if they offer the same service?
Update: Just called SF RSC and they said they could put my GMT IIc on the machine to see if it's within specs, but I'd have to leave it for a couple of days if it needed to be regulated. No matter. I'll be down in L.A. after Christmas. Maybe I'll stop by the BHRSC to see if they can do it for me. |

Brian,
Glad you had a good experience. BTW, RSC B.H. has free parking next door, on the east side of their building. I have never had a problem with parking there. |

I'm planning on running up there tomorrow with my Datejust, I'm glad to hear that you had a pleasant experience!!
Whereabouts in Fullerton do you live? I had my dance lessons there (wedding preparation) at the Imperial Ballroom academy....it's at Commonwealth/Harbor near the Amtrak station. |

They are very nice at the BHRSC - little intimidating there - but they treated me very well.

Is Panerai still where is was (near Cartier, I think, east of Rodeo)? Or is it gone now?

It's a great service they offer. I've had watches regulated several times at the Mayfair London HQ. It's like entering a sterile hospital only without the nurses in short uniforms !!! I digress, sorry

Sounds good. I would be very interested to know how their +2 to 3 seconds a day related to the timekeeping when the watch is worn on your wrist. Could you tell me how it is running say in one month's time?

They moved it temporarily while they expanded. Now it is larger but in that same location - East of Rodeo...
