Have you had much experience negotiating discounts on chrono seller prices?

I haven’t, so wonder if there really is much wiggle room on a ‘hot’ reference or if it’s just a myth

I would compare chrono24 prices to DavidSW. They are uniformly higher, sometimes by as much as 20%. David is much more aligned with actual market pricing. Cheers

IMO, David and other trusted sellers associated with TRF are far preferable to the mass experimental fishing expedition that is Chrono24. That site is hugely entertaining though. Good luck on the hunt!

I‘m not surprised prices are still up there. It‘s a beautiful ref that has guys who swore they would never ever buy a twotone lusting after one. That combination of rose gold and black-brown bezel is fantastic. Though not as near impossible to get at retail as the pepsi, still difficult to get.

This is a stunning and sought after, professional line Rolex Watch! Those wishful thinkers and nayslayers who predict price crashes, bubbles bursting and envisage supply abundance in 6 months are going to be the same people who wished they’d bought the reference they craved at today’s ‘inflated’ prices!

This one is only going one way, demand in the Far East has gone nuclear.

It is one of those unusual cases where the overall effect is somehow greater than the sum of it's parts, a bit like the white Speedy Snoopy 45th

The best looking GMT in the Rolex lineup. Even better looking that the Hulk and the whole submariner lineup. SS models are more sought after because of flippers, and the notion that whoever gets them can sell at the ridiculase prices greys are asking for. Root Beer has interesting history too.

When hostess shut down someone put a Twinkie on eBay for $5000. Asking isn't selling. Watch charts shows many selling above msrp, but maybe a few hundred in the last six months. So lots of asking, maybe not as big a problem as it seems.

Report back when you buy one a few hundred above MSRP bud. I think it will be a long time, but who knows

New from Chrono for $15,000 - $16,000 range. A lot of the popular watches are scarce in UK because of the demand due to falling pound price and VAT refund for tourists. I feel a price increase in UK from Rolex is coming soon.

No affiliation unfortunately!

Chances are they will test higher given a fast turnaround. Last month their CHNR's were high 14's. They like to think they set the UK market levels, they might be right given buying power under Richemont and stock levels.

CHNR is increasingly popular right now, my AD said they had been coming through well until end of July but it's all gone cold since.

I always suspected once more of these made their way into the wild, the popularity would increase.

Seeing the watch in the flesh versus looking at the stock photo on Rolex.com or watching a YouTube video is like night and day.

It's a "need to see it in person" reference.

It really is. But the problem is, when you do see it in person you then want one!

I enjoyed the discussion of this subject of increasing prices on TT models. If we look at the 126711 that started this thread, something that isn't mentioned about C24, is that many of the advertised watches, don't picture the actual watch. The price is posted with stock photos, so there may actually be fewer watches available than the number of listings advertising a watch. If there are fewer watches then prices will go up.
