Softer, rounded edges on just about every corner. Getting the 9-speed and the 4 liter unit. According the MBUSA rep yesterday, there are only 3 carryover parts (door handles was one, washer nozzles for the headlights was another l, forgot the third one). Interior much more modern with lots of interior exterior color combinations. This one had 22 in wheels but noticed it had Goodyear tires

They dropped the G65 (my buddy had one)....definitely end of an era.

Awesome pics Steve! That new gts 4 door is neat looking, but that new redesigned G wagon is stunning. Love it, and finally I see a GTR not in green, silver is sexy on that car. Pretty cool that Tommy was there too. Looks like a blast, I have done six of those events in the past and I get home wiped and blown away from the tracking capabilites of all AMG cars.

I’ve done the SLR and DTM rides in Spain previously, and the GT-R (in the right hands) has truly incredible capabilities for a street car. The exhaust at full throttle provides glorious V8 sounds.

Like Steve said, it looks a lot "softer" in the new design. I'm sure the functionality is the same, but to me I love the blocky/utilitarian design of the older wagon. They also had a white/cream leather in the one on location and it looked like it got real dirty (almost like color dye from someone's jeans wore off on the leather).

The wheels were custom made by HRE specifically for this car and build.
I have no idea what top speed is on this thing, my drivers license is always in jeopardy
I’m sure all the dinan stuff took the limiter off the car.
