Disappointed since they wasted time trashing rolex instead of trying to promote their brand.
Surprising. I'm on great terms with both local boutiques and the sales people are passionate watch lovers that are non pressure when it comes to selling. All my conversations regarding various brands including Rolex has always been non Omega slanted. (Aka all brands got their faults and the bashing is well deserved). Sorry you had to sit through that.

Nice Zenith, but I would rather take Daytona.

Truth be told, we have three local omega boutiques and I have only experienced this behavior from one of them. The others were very pleasant and a joy to talk with.

His only strategy is to dump on Rolex and hope you decide he's right. Pathetic.

Not really, I pitied him and his lack of knowledge and professionalism.

That salesman was probably very frustrated because Rolex watches basically sell themselves and he has to grind out every sale.

Once had a BMW salesman tell me, Mercedes-Benz were, in his words "a load of
Kraut crap" he looked me straight in the eye, as he said it.

I'm fairly certain he didn't understand my laughing, as I walked away.

So you’re telling me that a BMW dealership employed a salesman that didn’t even know BMWs are German cars? I’ve encountered my fair share of clueless salesman but that is next level.

BTW, this was the El Primero I saw.

Nope. Wasn't selling TAG. But close enough, the company he works for sells it; just not his shop. He had Blancpain, Zenith, that German brand I can't pronounce or spell.

Absolutely true!
We naturally assumed he thought the Free State of Bavaria was still an independant Kingdom in its own right.

The next level?
We've had a Upvc double glazing salesman knock at the
door of our 15thC Thatched Cottage.
We politely declined his offer of a 50% discount for 'older properties' and his
VERY kind offer to replace the 4" thick, oak front door with something 'more
secure'. It was a warm day, we'd been working hard in the garden all morning,
so we gave him a cold beer and a seat in the shade and let him entertain us for
a few minutes. He was a very young lad so we were gentle with him.

It's always more pleasant at Rolex ADs discussing the SS waiting list, checking out almost non-existance SS sport shelf and how Rolex sale person can help you empower yourself into VIP customer standing for the Daytona

sort of like when those big fat old guys tell you they'd never want anything to do with a skinny bikini model, that they need a big woman with some meat on their bones.

of course you don't like what you can't have, my man. of course!

Frustrated from an AD/Rolex hater

Somebody recently posted a video of some 20-something douche buying his first Rolex. The salesman (regular NYC jewelry store) showed him a green dial DJ or DD and said it was the “Hulk” model. Freakin clueless.
