First Post! Trip to EU - Layover in London & Milan - thoughts?

Hello!

Been lurking for a while and am ready to jump in!

I leave tonight for a trip to Ukraine - I have a layover in London Heathrow on the way there, and a layover in Milan on the way back. I've been to Heathrow a few times, so I am familiar with the airport and know there are ADs in the Terminals - Good selection; Virtually zero chance of a discount from what I read here; great VAT situation as you simply don't pay it vs processing refund.

Not so familiar with Milan (MXP) - from what I can tell online, there are a few luxury watch shops but can't confirm they carry Rolex. Has anyone been there recently that can let me know?

Also - would love any thoughts, advice, suggestions, etc. I'm going with an open mind in regards to selection, and feel like I'll be walking in with a loaded gun because I'm ready to pull the trigger on my first Rolex!

Thank you!

As above the chances of finding a SS Sports at Heathrow are remote but one or two members have been VERY VERY VERY lucky. If you are looking at models other than these you could get a bargain.

I was at Heathrow T4 a few days ago, and no SS professional pieces.

All airport locations are complete luck, no question about it. And even if somebody says the selection is great today, it can change by tomorrow (or scratch that, it WILL chnage by tomorrow). Airports are great in the fact practically none of them have lists though.

The guys at Heathrow are very professional and usually happy to help! If I were you, I would drop them a line and tell them you are after a specific model. They might be able to keep it for you as long as you tell them a bit in advance.

Please ignore my message - didn't realise you have found the one! Big congrats!

No Rolex at Milan Malpensa. Pisa (Rolex AD) has a store, but only sells Tudor there. I just asked them two weeks ago.

I’m currently on holidays through Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Brussels and France - currently in Switzerland. Looking for my first Rolex (a date just 41). Unfortunately I found the ADs i visited in Italy very rude and refuse to give them my business. Hopefully I have better luck on the rest of my journey and wish you the best of luck on yours too!

I have read on here that people have had good experiences in germany. Good luck! And I agree. I wouldn’t give my business to rude establishments.

Rude over a DJ? Did you forget to bathe for a week?
