Incoming 233 (8 days GMT)
Managed to pick up a 233 8 days GMT for 55% of retail price, watch was 9 years old but serviced by Panerai this year, never polished and under manufacture warranty :) basically like new and with extra straps.
TBH it feels like the best GMT/travel time out there with some added bonuses. I was thinking about getting GMT/Travel time from PP or Rolex but after trying the 233 I was quick to change my mind. The 233 has all the features of competitor GMT/travel times: -Day night indicator for home time (true GMT function) -Date following local time -Instant jump hours when setting local time -100m water resistance -Different strap choices and easy to change: rubber for casual, black leather for formal, brown for casual etc... Makes traveling super easy just pack a bunch of straps instead of packing different watches that you will have to leave at the hotel. Additionally the clean dial is super easy to read without glasses and in the dark. The 8 day power reserve is a huge plus for me personally as it easily fits into my watch rotation as a weekend watch, giving my daily automatic some rest over the weekend. Here is a pic of the beast. |
