Lol...reminds me of when an AD reached out about an El Primero with a Tourbillon and I had to educate him differently.
Great post...that AD employee was focusing on the A.B.C.’s Always Be Closing Thanks |

Haha I hate educating them, if they don’t already know, it usually means they don’t give a damn about watches (just a job for them). As I’m explaining, I just sense them silently screaming at me to stop talking immediately! Anyway, the wait continues! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ridiculous. If I work at Chik-fil-a then I better know the difference between the deluxe and the spicy. If this is your JOB, how hard is it to know the models, especially if you are trying to make a sale? If this were the only example then that's fine. But we all know this isn't a one off.
I spend a couple hours a week tops learning about watches. If you are working 30-40 hours per week selling watches then you should know the name of every watch you sell. This makes me think of the thread about tipping your salesperson. No, just no. |

True story from this past Friday. Was at an AD trying on some Explorer IIs and said “I wish they’d put the glide lock clasp on these” and the sales associate stood there for a good minute saying “I know, right?! It’s a shame some other company owns the patent. Gee what’s the name of that company? Hmmm itll come to me later”. I decided to hand back the explorer and leave. Not worth my money.
