INCOMING SBDC059J - TAKUYA Special Watch
Hi
I got this watch from Takuya, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, and wow guys it is amazing!! Should I dare say that the green dial rivals that of the 116610LV.... I'll let you be the judge although this is by no means a competition between the two watches as they both have great characteristics. Its most prominent characteristic is its sunburst green dial with phantom (floating) gold accent hands. This is a watch that definitely grows in its eye-candy attractiveness the more one wears it....and now I simply cannot take it off my wrist. This watch is a "limited production" run of 1000 and mine is luck number "22" and is so inscribed by Seiko on the casebook. The bezel is nicely proportioned and it comes on a solid stainless steel bracelet. The case is treated with scratch resistant 'diashield' coating with lug holes for easy removal. The watch feels very comfortable on the wrist.

Just one more photo:
The watch is very comfortable once the bracelet is properly adjusted. The watch has a sapphire crystal which has the very slightest dome character, for for all intents and purposes the surface of the crystal is flush with the top of the bezel insert which is great. Dimensions are as follows: Case width: 43.2mm Watch height: 14mm Dial diameter: 31.3mm Lug dropout width: 20mm Crown diameter: 7mm

Very nice Steve.
Amazing dial and I bet the lume is bright. And correct ISO diver graduations on the dial.

Congrats, very nice looking. Now you have to add one of the gradient blue dial Turtles or Samurais if you have not done so already.

Dang. Color pops for sure. Have any more pictures to share? Box or papers? Does it wear heavy?
I am now interested in buying one (not the same you have) but for sure a Seiko Dive Watch. I was going to buy another Luminox, but after seeing yours, and looking on Amazon, there is no way I will buy another Luminox, prices are too close to each other to justify a Luminox vs the Seiko.

Thanks guys
I'll post some better photos when I can get into some natural sunlight tomorrow hopefully. The photos above were taken under the office lighting which is we less than ideal.

Nice Steve, congrats!
I've been eying that model as well (if I can find one). How does it compare to the SLA017, size-wise? Does it wear much larger? |

Thanks guys!!
In answer to a few questions above, I'll say: 1. The sapphire crystal is great it sits very flush with the top of the bezel insert and only the very slightest of dome. This makes the watch look great and gives it a slimmer profile than say the SLA017. 2. The watch has great balance and even with the steel bracelet it is not a heavy feeling watch on the wrist. This watch does sit very nicely on the wrist (more so than the SLA017) although in diameter it feels a little bigger, but not such that it detracts from the comfort level. Here are a couple more photos taken today:

Congrats, that looks great!!
My came standard with a fitted ss bracelet. Is that a rubber strap you have fitted? How do you find it in terms of comfort?

with the OEM bracelet attached, the lug to lug length of the sbdc059 is a bit too much for my 16.5 cm wrist. Also I work on my laptop frequently and like to avoid the banging/scratching of a metal bracelet But no wrong answer here since the OEM bracelet and clasp are (IMO) excellent for the price point fortunately it's 20mm lug width. the 19 mm size on the sla017 and I believe most Grand Seikos can be limiting in terms of strap options |
