FS: Vintage steel chronograph – Tissot PR516 with exotic dial

Great-looking 1970s Tissot PR 516 chronograph with iconic stainless steel case. 36mm wide with beautiful exotic dial and nice patina on hour markers and hands. Acquired earlier this year from watchestobuy, the vintage watch supplier to Mad Men.

Model: 1970s Tissot PR 516

Case: Thick 36mm stainless steel case wears really well. Shows wear from use. Domed plastic crystal in good condition. Lug width is 19mm. Signed crown. Some aging to rare red bezel with tachymetre and pulsations. See pics.

Dial: Original matte black. Beautiful touches of color include red, blue, grey and orange. Patina-ed hour markers and all original hands.

Movement: Manual winding caliber 873 by Lemania keeping accurate time. Chronograph works and resets to zero. Service history unknown.

Strap: Tissot bracelet. Not original to watch.

No box/papers. Condition detailed in photos below.
