Incoming, my 3rd Pepsi GMT and 5th Rolex Watch
Today I got my 16700, which almost complets my Pepsi GMT collection.
My other 2 Pepsi Pepsi GMT’s are Master II 16710 and Tudor GMT Now to complete the collection I would need to wait either until the prices for 2018 Pepsi would drop reasonably on resale side or until my dealer would call me (2-3 years at least). Tomorrow I will go to my Rolex dealer to authenticate the watch, will post about the process if anyone is interested how it works. What do you guys think about collecting watches as a chronological lineup btw? How do you guys collect? In random or in some kind of order? |

Nice pickup, your 16700 bezel has the same fade as my 2003.

Congrats! That looks like a beauty. I'm more of a random buyer as I don't really have a theme to follow and do like to mix it up some and thinking my next will be a Tudor chrono. Looking forward to your follow up.

Incoming, my 3rd Pepsi GMT and 5th Rolex Watch
Great collection! Congrats!
I buy what I like. Sports models - tool watches. I’m a GMT guy and considered trying to get one of each GMT reference. Perhaps someday. I don’t buy in an order, but rather what sings to me. When they stop singing, I trade them and get something else. GMTs and Subs are the ones that stick around. Couple of others to mix it up. AP 25940 and Omega Skywalker not pictured. I have a question...
Which is your favourite, and how can you stand not to wear it all the time? I have collected (dozens of) target rifles, cameras, saxophones, but always narrowed it down to just the one (eventually) I prefer to shoot, shoot, or play. I have had multiple watches, but if I wore one other than my favourite I'd always want to be wearing my favourite and so (as with the other collections) sold all but the one I prefer. |

My watch collection is pretty big, and lately I’m thinking maybe to sell the watches that I don’t really wear, and get a few pieces that are expensive and nice instead. In the way narrowed down the collection to get quality over quantity. |

So long as you buy "bargains" it can be a good way of saving up. Buy cheap when you see a bargain, then sell for a profit when something better comes along. That's what I did with all my collections so the final item in each category didn't cost me anything... apart from my last (and now only) Rolex.
