Rivets on the Tudor Black Bay 58 - Faux / Real?
I was chatting with some folks at a GTG this week. One guy swore that the rivets on the new Black Bay 58 were imitation...
Anyone know for certain? If the rivets are real, would that mean you have to trash a few links to get your fit? Thanks |

Well, there are aftermarket solid link rivet bracelets with real rivets so the Tudor probably is too.
I don’t know for sure though. (And those aftermarket bracelets weigh twice what the C&I does) |

Not sure, but on my MKII BBN, the “rivets” are only there for aesthetics. On the link, there’s a bump on one end, and a screw/pin on the other.

Yeah, on all previous Tudor riveted bracelets, it's only for show. I'd assume the 58 is the same.

Not all links are screwed however. I had one before I got my C&I to see if I’d like the feel of it and I like the “real” ones much better, even though you need heavy machinery and black magic to size them. |

Thanks everyone.
I guess this is no worse than fake air vents on a sports car - or pumping engine noise through the speakers. Or is it? |

Take this with a grain of salt, but I was told recently that they’re real, however do not hold water in structural integrity. Reason for them, as I was told, is to provide a better and more flexible fit around a wrist, but did not want to be the structural integrity of the bracelet due to loosening with age.
Again, take it with a grain of salt. |
