Great book about Horology

For those of you also interested in the history behind these amazing time pieces we wear on our wrists.

This book is a fabulous read. I received the book many years ago as a gift, and whilst I appreciated it at the time for the scientific advancements, it’s only in more recent years I have truly understood just what it took from a horological perspective.

I believe H1 to H4 are still on display in Greenwich Maritime museum.

A groundbreaking piece of British engineering at its absolute finest.

Great book. The TV dramatisation with Michael Gambon and Jeremy Irons is also very good.

I will have to search this book out. Is the movie the same name?

Thank you for the tip - I didn’t realise there was also a TV serialisation too ! Can be easily found on DVD online, with the same title as the book.
