BLRO Question
Has anyone recently tried to add their name to a AD waiting list? If so have you had success and what type of wait has the dealer been telling you? I know potentially years but is that the normal company line your hearing.

I feel like if you're being told something like more than 2-3 years then the AD is really signaling some not so good news to you. It doesn't hurt to leave your contact info, I just probably wouldn't ever expect hearing a call from them. Then again, I suppose it's different for watches like the Daytona C and (too early to tell) BLRO. There have been various Daytona incoming posts here recently for people who've been waiting ~2 years for that watch (I've waited that long, but still don't have one!).

I recently added my name to my AD's BLRO waiting list. There were many names above mine on the initial list but my AD said he would reorder the list based upon the amount of money spent on previous purchases. Since I've purchased several Rolex watches and other jewelry from the same AD I expect to move up on the list. I'm in no rush so I never asked how long the wait might be. If the wait is long enough I might find something preferable in next year's releases.

I was late to the quest but 2 AD’s took my name for a BLRO and a 116500. Quite a few rejections as well.

WOW! I am simply taken aback at how unavailable the BLNR is.
When I decided to buy mine, in September 2016, I just simply walked into the local AD, and bought it. Albeit full retail, but there was no wait or list. |

at this point in 99% of cases a WL is meaningless. If you are added you are well back and people with purchase history and relationships will be jumping the already long queue. So in chronological order you are probably looking at a few years and factoring the normal WL not applying to some, its longer.

If you can buy your wife/gf etc a Rolex too, instead of jewellery or a bag, then this double purchase will help you.

I have a very small local ad. They told me they don’t have a wait list for it as they don’t expect to even get one. However I did request they call when they got a hulk in a few years ago and they called me up. But that was when things were very different. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I started bugging my AD at Christmas last year when there were rumors there might be a coke at Basel. As such, I'm still first on the list, but they haven't gotten one yet.

OP is referring to the BLRO, not the BLNR. Waiting times are vastly different between the two. |

I added my name recently. Ad had no time estimate, but he said, "your our customer, so you will get preference". They managed to get me a new Sea Dweller in 6 weeks, but I'm not holding out too much hope. On this one.

I was one of the first to put my name down, and I am waiting on it for my wife when I inquired how long I still had to wait, I was told two years!?! Now I know I’m one of the first on the list (like #1-3) but I do not spend a lot on jewelry... They actually reminded me of this.
If you buy copious amounts of diamonds you will be moved up, and can have first crack at what you want. Even if you are on ‘’THE LIST’’ it’s BS anyway. |

I have a relationship with my AD so I added my name the day it came out. Should be seeing mine sometime soon.
