In my experience, having a good relationship with your local AD, and if need be getting on a list, will get you one of these at LIST price.

In the meantime, I will keep wearing my 1675-Pepsi & BLNR until I can buy the BLRO for list. Actually, I may fill the time with a Tudor-GMT-Pepsi. Patience is a virtue. :-)
its not unreasonable compared to many other watch premiums. 5711, daytona etc. The BLRO starts out cheaper than those so more than double retail is more possible. Its newer too, so not totally out of line with other hot watches.

Im not advocating paying it, but its not an outlier by any means with what we are seeing with other coveted watches.

Gotta also put some blame on the idiots paying 2x MSRP for a mass-produced Rolex as well.
On the other hand, what amount of money two people I don't know exchange for a watch is none of my business and has zero impact on my life. These things have become like Beenie Babies to many and there is some truly irrational exuberance out there. $20,000 for a stainless Steel sports watch is silly.

To be fair, a slow loss has shown to be a poor business model.

You know last night I had a dream that AP also made sports cars and I was selling one of my watches to buy one... it looked like a yellow Lambo/East European junker crossbreed, all really weird, and then it got stolen and I panicked and then realised AP only made watches not cars and that it was just a dream... and then I woke up.

Man, this shortage is getting to me.

Some funny posts. "That's why I'll never buy grey...", is a common refrain. Some other threads call it "price gouging" or "unethical". Its capitalism and the goal is to turn a profit. I don't think all those vowing to "never buy grey" are going to hurt the trusted sellers. They'll continue to thrive.

I did this last week. The more I look at the more I think it’s the only one I need.

Yes, the Tudor GMT has definitely eased the desire for the Rolex for me. I still may get one down the line at list price.

But, between the BLNR and the Tudor, I just may be good.
