It was excellent. Makes me want to buy one, except I own a BLNR. 🤷*♂️

I'm in the same boat. The Tudor is a great watch and definitely having its time in the spotlight, but will never replace my BLNR.

While I’m very interested in buying the Rolex Pepsi, I would be very inclined to buy the Tudor and skip the (likely) long wait for the Rolex. When one does eventually become available, I’d gift the Tudor to my stepson.

I think the Tudor GMT has a lot of good attributes, however, the faux rivets bracelet is not one of them. Sadly, it ruins the watch for me.

I hope I never tire so much of timepieces that a bracelet ruins a watch for me. Especially when there are other factory options

Great article, want one but I already have a 16710 pepsi and a BLNR. If they make a BB58 GMT I’ll be first in line for one.

HODINKEE - Long, detailed review of Tudor GMT

Great article! Thanks for sharing. I want to love this piece. It has some wonderful features. I may end up test driving it sometime. That would be the only way I’d know if I really liked this Tudor. I just picked up another 1675 and am replacing the dial, having the case reworked, etc., to get it back correct. I know that I love Rolex GMTs; just not sure about this one.

I know what you mean. So far the Tudor is feeling very different to my Rolex GMTs (I’m happy to say).

I wasn’t sure about the rivets. I can tell you that they’re beautifully executed. The bracelet feels well made and solid. The only thing it’s missing is an easylink extension.

Looks great! If it had the dimensions of the Black Bay 58 I would consider skipping the wait for the BLRO and get this!

That 1mm extra size can make a difference. With the SkyD is was larger than I like but bearable. The SD43 was just too large with an extra mm. 40 to 41 wouldn't make too much of a difference for me. Actually really happy with the Tudor BB offerings!!! Nice add but pretty fluffy overall, "be sure to take if somewhere far away."

I may be the odd man out here, but I don't even notice the rivets. It's a great bracelet on a great watch.

they mean the thickness of of the case.

it doesnt bother me but some people like to find reasons to disparage brands other than rolex.
