95 Brand New SS BLROs

It is a tad disappointing to see "95" SS BLROs for sale on Chrono24.

Brand new and available to be shipped within 3-5 days

Almost a combined $1M dollars of profit (assuming they sell at those prices) going into hands of flippers and/or grey dealers

But I guess that is capitalism!

Yeah it is disappointing. Hope Rolex keep the production rates for a while to bring down the prices and satisfy more customers

A lot of them (and other difficult to obtain models) are BS ads. You call them and they say "oh we just sold that one but I can try to get you another one" or some crap like that.

it is not one person/company, it is 95 individuals posting on the site to sell, right?

Yes, all different sellers. About a year or so ago I was looking for a 5711 when they were going for maybe 26-28k or whatever it was. I called maybe 10-15 different sellers and not a single one actually had the watch in stock.

You can safely assume all the ads with "stock" photos are in fact, not in stock.

True. Sometimes they are called phantom watches. Designed to generate leads. They don’t all exist. Maybe some; not all. Common practice in marketing many different kinds of items. It’s BS but it happens.

More like profiteering, not capitalism.

Even if the 95 number isn't correct, it's probably close. If only 1000 were released worldwide, which we don't know, it's safe to assume that about 5 to 10% were lost to people flipping for profit. It happens with every release.

And of those how many borrowed pics and actually have? Chrono24 the worst and you have to search for true dealers as so many are full of it.
