Sounds like you're gravitating toward the blue dial DJ 41...not a bad choice.
If it were me I would jettison all your quartz watches, keep your Sub C and purchase a vintage Ref. 1601 or 1603 Datejust plus a well cared for/lightly used Exp. 214270. Both watches combined can be had within your budget. In the end you'd have a very solid and enviable 3-watch collection.
