As Smokey Bubbles puts it, play the system. Here in Japan, 0% is still rare, it’s still a cash society. Though when my wife and I went to the car showroom and said we wanted to pay cash he looked like we were mad and produced all manner of charts to show that it would be in our interest to pay in installments.
An aside, I love the quote from Withnail and I when they borrow uncle Monty’s cottage in Yorkshire: “Free to those that can afford it, very expensive to those that can’t.” Withnail and I |

True. A life test I live by is - do you sleep well?
I sleep very well and believe it is down to a combination of the professionalism of my work (thus no concerns over fallout/legal actions) and the fact that my family is well protected and financially secure (that and a pint or two on occasion!). If I am awake at night something needs attention. In regards to others, as much as popular culture wants us all holding hands and cuddling, it's still a dog-eat-dog world. I don't care what others are protending there life to be. When the deck falls down it will be me (and hopefully you) that will be buying up their mistakes. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk |

I have a credit account with my Ad. 0% if paid in full in 24 months. I have paid cash for purchases in the past, but honestly why take money out of places which are making interest until I have to. My AD gives no discount on Rolex for cash purchases or credit. How you pay for a watch is irrelevant, as long as you can afford it and are not paying interest on it. If someone is giving you free money for 24 months take it, as long as the payments don’t require you to make reductions in retirement or other savings. There is no shame in buying a watch on credit if you can truly afford it.
