Maui Sunset Daytona -which one?

I know there's an all encompassing Daytona photo thread, but I wanted to start a separate thread so I don't threadjack the other one.

When I took the pics I was considering putting the Daytona right on the sand like the Rolex ad... but I couldn't bear the thought of it being possibly being washed away.

Which pic do you prefer?

A

or B

Great pics but I voted A. B is a good pic but might be better if you cropped the top a little. JMHO.

I had to vote for A 'cause the watch has more concentration on.

B could have been better if the watch was more centralised in the frame and made to look bigger.

I had to go with the majority. The composition of A is much better than B. Neither pic is bad, though.

Both are nice pics, but I liked A better because of the composition.

Hmmm...very interesting set of replies. I started this thread going the other way (selecting B) as I prefer the the blue ocean in the background. I wish I had shot this with more depth so the sand is in focus. Oh well...guess I have another excuse to head back to Maui.

Photo A is more striking and has better contrast..

Photo B is a better shot of the watch, but like Mike says... to really make it pop, crop off the top half or 2/3.....( yes, only sand, no ocean)

I would vote for A, the contrast in the pic makes the watch very outstanding.

I like the composition of A better. However, maybe it would have worked to angle the watch toward the camera slightly to get rid of the reflection on the bracelet/face, and bring out the details of the face better. Hell what do I know, I'm a doctor....
