Who has the oldest Rolex here?

I just finished reading some of the Rolex background and history off Wikipedia. It made me wonder, who on this forum can claim to have the oldest model in their personal collection. What kind of a story do you have behind it?

This should probably be in the vintage section. Watches from the 20s are around, many more from the 30s up but from the teens and aughts are understandably rare. :)

Here's my oldest one, a relative baby at 50 (1968)

1625 TOG

A truly great looking watch Richard. The bezel is in remarkable condition, likewise the gold coronet look fabulous.

There is something quite special about these old watches. What size is it, I imagine at 50 years old the standard size for a gents watch would be around 36mm?

I need to get my post count up so I can post pictures...

Someone will chime in shortly with an early trench watch, I am sure. My oldest watch is a Wilsdorf trench watch, but Marconi-branded from 1915.

An amazing restoration too!

I have a 1601 from the 40's

I try not to get any older than that because everything is either too small or delicate.

Ref 6584 from the mid 1950s. Gift from my grandfather. He purchased it during his undergraduate years in London. Second photo of the movement courtesy of LA WatchWorks who helped me out with it!

I agree with Richard - the real heavy hitters are in Vintage section.

I won’t try yo trump anyone with my Rolex pencil stuck in the sand like a sundial...
