116622 YM Platinum Bezel
I bought this watch about 2 months ago, after getting rid of an Exp1 which just wasn't doing it for me.
During my research before buying the YM, one recurring negative feature was that the platinum bezel is allegedly a scratch magnet. 2 months into ownership and I am positively surprised by the fact that my YM bezel remains in mint condition, so much so that if my AD had shown me the bezel in the present state at the time of purchase, I would have thought it flawless and purchased the watch. The sandblasted glimmer effect is still completely perfect and unspoiled. (The PCLs have, unsurprisingly, picked up some scratches, but I was expecting that). In contrast, my Exp1 bezel picked up a number of scratches over the 2 months that I owned it - some micro, some quite noticeable. It may just be that I was a bit unlucky, but overall I have to say that the YM bezel seems the more durable of the two. I'm sure it will pick up dings eventually, but so far I am very happy with how it is holding up. Will upload some pics at some point. |

I hit mine with a tooth brush and some dish soap every once and a while and it still sparkles like-new.

Bezel is far more scratch resistant than the bracelet. So i dont think its an issue at all. Wife's watch, and she wears it a lot, clearly

Beautiful. I’d have been tempted to pick up a platinum dial if they still made them.

I have had my Rhodium dial since last March. Bezel is spankin mint, but normal swirls on the clasp.
I really don't get why people who comment on the bezels lack of durability who don't own one, chirp about it.

My 6 month old YM's RG bezel is still in perfect condition. When doing my research I read many comments saying the bezel will scratch dent etc, that didn't bother me and so far i'm happy to say its a non issue for me too.
