Really!
I’m not here to tell fairy tales. Bought a SD43 and a Sub LVc at this AD this year and got 15% off on both.
Didn’t ask for it and was willing to pay MSRP, so guess I am very lucky with them. Waiting for my blue SkyD to arrive, hope it gets in somewhere next year.

As a general rule they do not discount. In the real world it depends on the model, timing and negotiating skills. In stock vs ordering, if you wish to order paying cash up front may give you a better edge on a discount. It seems there are many variables when negotiating. I never paid MSRP yet, including SS sports in the last year. Not talking about super hot > Daytona, Hulk, SkyD. (strong relationships usually required)

You should have no problem with this method as long as opening the new cards doesn't hurt your credit score and you have the cash to pay off the cards immediately.

I got 15% discount on the a black dial Daytona C in Oman 2 weeks ago. I purchased the watch but sold it in the next two days, the market price is too attractive for me to keep it. Discounts are there, it depends on your relationship with your AD.

I suppose they must really like you and maybe you are a long time customer but not sure how much longer these guys can stay in business with such poor acumen that Rolex UK will not appreciate one bit.

I do know that Rolex Dealers do discount their Watches from information on this Forum. But where I live in Dublin Ireland there is only one Rolex AD & if you were to ask them for a discount on a Rolex they would laugh at you. Their reasoning is if you can afford a Rolex you should be able to pay full retail price that’s why when I want to purchase a Rolex I fly to the UK to a lovely Grey Dealer in the north of England to do so. It’s only an hours flight & then I have to get two Trains there & back but I just love the buzz I get from the travelling & it is really nice to see the Watch in the shop for the first time. I have now purchased three Rolexes from this Grey Dealer & they really are a joy to do business with. In the last three years I have saved in the region of about €6,000 to €7,000 which is an incentive to travel to this Grey Dealer & I will be dealing with them again. I forgot to add there are no Grey Dealers in Ireland, there are a handful of Dealers who sell used Watches’s but their stock are usually twenty plus years old

Discounts are at the seller's discretion. I always try because if you don't ask you don't get.

I got something off a Polar Explorer early this year. Mid 2018 I tried and failed to get a discount on a Z-Blue at the same AD. I have a Blusey on order and I'll haggle on that when it arrives. What I'll get (or won't) I have no idea.

Declining to discount the Z-Blue was their first refusal in all our occasional dealings over more than 15 years. They were polite and professional about it. I know I can walk in tomorrow (well, technically the day after tomorrow) and haggle usefully on just about any IWC, Omega, Breitling, Tag, etc that catches my eye. If I was them, I wouldn't give me a discount on a SS sport Rolex. Why would I?

I haggled with a grey dealer for a Hulk and got the price reduced by a margin that was worth the effort. I still paid well over retail, but compared to what sellers are asking now it looks like a bargain! Crazy times.

Wouldn't you want to haggle before you placed the order? If you were willing to order and wait, the dealer would assume you really want it.

For the most part, discounts will be hard to come by on any Rolex. If you look at current market prices for even unworn precious metal watches like the DD40, you'll see that the retail/grey spread has shrunk considerably over the past year. What used to be a 22-25% discount is now more like 14-15% at best on the most desirable models. Rolex has been very successful at eliminating discounts. Other companies not so much.

Got 13% off DJ in April.
Tudor said they’ll give me 10-15%
Haven’t asked Rolex lately cuz they don’t have the ones I want.
