Datejust 41 waiting list
Hey guys.
I’ve put my name down on a list for a dj41 last week! I was told to wait around 16 weeks! Anyone waited this long for a DJ41? I’m from U.K. Thank you. John. |

If your getting the Steel DJ41 in blue dial then yes that seems to be the case not only in the UK but even in asia as well.

Thank you for your reply.
I’ve put my name down for the dark rhodium dial. With jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel. |

Datejust 41 waiting list
Certain configurations are not hugely available but they can be found if you put in the legwork, and that includes the blue dial.
You might need to travel, but it’s totally obtainable if you don’t want to wait. When I first started calling round about getting a DJ41, one store in Brighton, part of a well-known chain, told me about a year! Haha Found it within days by calling around. |

Contacted two stores and both wanted deposit up front. Goldsmiths and David M Robinson.

I ordered my DJ41 which I was told was an allocated piece, the slate roman dial in SS, It took 3 weeks to the day to arrive. I'm in the U.S.

Thank you for your reply’s.
I’ll just have to wait and see! I just don’t understand why some retailers want a deposit first. |

its a pretty popular config. My AD has that but with diamonds. Diamond dials tend to sit the rest dont.

thats 20% vat + fees + unfavorable exchange rates to get it to the UK. Not really a viable option as thats like £900 over retail

Try ADs in less desirable areas..........as i have previously said........central London is generally a waste of time. I managed to source a datejust 41 from a AD in South London. They had more pieces then all the ADs from canary wharf to central London combined.
Ps I sourced a DATEJUST 41 with blue dial. It had the oyster bracelet which the AD changed over to a jubilee. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Walked into watches of Switzerland this morning on regents street fairly early. They had Dj 41 in white and blue dial both fluted and non fluted, and the RG OF YM40 + 37. SA expected the Datejusts to be sold by end of the day. I had gone around 10.30 and they were just putting out the new consignment of watches that came....

That seems like a long wait for a DJ41. My impression is that the blue dial, fluted bezel, Jubilee bracelet Datejust41 is the most difficult configuration to get, but 16 weeks seems excessive.
It's also plausible that since the sport models are exceedingly difficult to get, more customers are shunted towards picking up a Datejust as their first Rolex and as such particular configurations are more difficult to get. This might seem absurd to collectors on this forum, but I've been at ADs multiple times where a customer comes in and only wants a Rolex and could really care less what model he or she gets. |

I saw this exact configuration on display at a small AD in Germany few days ago. Doesn’t seem to be so hard to get over there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I recently bought a tu-tone 31mm Datejust for my wife..
31mm Yellow Gold and Steel Jubilee Bracelet White Dial Gold Bold Roman Numerals. On face value you wouldn't think this is a particularly difficult combination to find. I'm in Sydney, Australia and went to all 4 AD's all within walking distance of each other in the centre of the city. In April, none of them have one in stock but all 4 took my name and number and said they should have one within 2-3 months. 6 weeks later I got a call from J Farren Price (AD), bought the watch and overall had a wonderful experience. Still haven't (and don't expect to) hear from the other three AD's. Great business eh! NOT...... Bob. Last edited by Rolex_Bob; 16 October 2018 at 07:37 AM.. Reason: Added pictures. |

Very strange! I contacted the AD today and they said there are four others waiting before me on the waiting list! That’s the reason why I’m waiting 16 weeks.
