Looking for reference of period correct bracelet for my 1625

So my Turn-o-graph is 1625-3B from 1966. I have been looking at 62523H18 bracelets which I understand will fit but many of these seem to be from much never Datejust references. While they may be better for wearing, I would like to obtain a period correct bracelet with the period correct end links.

Not sure what I need to look for to determine that a bracelet would be period correct however.

I’d add that you want a clasp that doesn’t have a code stamped inside it. Those began to appear in the early to mid-70’s.

Could you show me an example of what the code would look like and what one without the code would look like?

On my 1675, I see a tiny 1 with a 70 below it looking on the outside with the clasp opened. Would that be the code you are referring to?

Or would it be like an example I found online that shows the reference of the bracelet below steelinox, in this case 6252H 14

The move to letter codes made tracking a little different. I don’t have a pic of the older clasps but here is an example for the ‘80’s. The code circled in yellow is a clasp code.

I’ve read somewhere that the US market required 14kt TT and the 18kt was for the rest of the world. Urban legend or valid?

Now that you’ve asked about the RUSA TT bracelets, are you certain your particular TOG was originally sent to US Market by Rolex?

If you have the original papers, you will see 3 digits in addition to the serial number. 710 is the country code for a Rolex sent to US Market.

If you don’t have papers, then an old sales receipt or personal knowledge is all you’ll have to indicate it’s initial market.

Some US citizens would go to the Caribbean island countries and bring home a Rolex “souvenir” and later unfortunately lose the papers. Family members would likely only remember Dad’s old Rolex was a birthday present to himself.

I’m not picking nits, just sharing in the spirit of TRF since you wanted to get as close to era correct as possible. It would also be important to be market correct as well.

I don't have original papers, most of the information I have is from having it serviced by Rolex Service Center a few years ago after purchasing it. So am unsure as to which country it would have been most likely purchased in originally. Likely was the US though, which would mean a 14k TT bracelet would be preferable to the 18k?

The folded link TT RUSA bracelets of that era were 14K & SS.

I’m guessing the clasp will look a lot like this one (which is prolly the one you found on eBay?)
