What about a DateJust Royal Black?>>>

Here it is in the flesh.

How did they put on the diamonds at the strap?

Just like the links, of course screwed. Nice with the ROLEXROLEXROLEX at the backside too.

Hmmm - would you trust those screws to hold the diamonds in place on a bracelet? Seems like a strange way to attach them - but what about this watch is not strange??

Jocke: It was funny until I realized that you hadn't Photoshopped a normal DJ. Great photos, nevertheless.

Cheers,

Chris

I don't care what anyone says...

but that is a kick-ass "haute joaillerie" version of the Datejust. The baguette diamond bezel is beautifully done, as are the other details.

Over the top? A bit (although there's much worse out there in the luxury market, from a variety of brands). It's not my personal cup o' tea, either--but there's much to admire, as far as the execution goes. The same could be said for the infamous "Leopard" Daytona, which is notably more garish in concept than this Datejust.

I think the point that escapes at least some detractors of the Zeb is that this watch wasn't created for men---it's a men's SIZED Datejust intended for high-stepping, well-monied fashionista women (although it might capture some of the Liberace set, and maybe a few Russian oligarchs who have money to roll up and smoke)

Cheers, Jocke--superb photos, as always.

Every time I see that I still can't believe someone had the idea to put diamonds on a black rubber band then they actually did it.

Welcome and very well put - still an extremely narrow (and wealthy) market - even narrower for the demographic of TRF I'd guess...
