Vintage GS

Some vintage GS goodness from the early 70’s. In good company, flanked by a Dato Perpetual Tourby!

Cool trio. They look in great shape, too. Any more pics?

Thanks, they are in really good shape. I've been trying to pick up only super clean examples and so have passed on a lot (95% of what I see) over the past number of years. It's getting harder and harder to find clean ones though, and of course they are getting more and more expensive.

Will try to take them out over the weekend and snap some more photos.

It is getting harder to find clean vintage GS you're right, but that's adding to the thrill of the chase, I guess. Prices are going up, too, but the value is still there. The movements in your three above are as good as or better than anything the Swiss were offering at the time, Rolex included, IMO. I suspect that a few years from now, vintage GS prices will have risen significantly as modern GS continue to gain in popularity.

Agreed on everything. Talking to a few of the dealers in Tokyo a few weeks back, who have historically always had some decent inventory, good pieces are hard to find and prices (for us and them) have increased materially on those good pieces. Happy to have a handful, hope to add more.

Lovely pieces. Great straps, too. Just the right style for those cases.
