Please try to not take it to heart...most are just making light of the situation and I'm sure not too serious (I know my comment was suppose to be taken that way). Sorry if we ruffled your feathers...sometimes I forget how it might come across when sitting on the other side & reading a bunch of comments posted by strangers. Please stick around to learn some more about these great watches & forum members...believe it or not there isn't a rampant attitude of trying to run people into the ground around here. Cheers.

It's not even worth the price of a Kinder egg!
But hey- if it sings to you, wear it.

I wouldn't be mad if the buyer was just as in the dark on its authenticity as you were. If buyer/gift-giver honestly thought they were buying you a real Rolex, then I wouldn't fault them for it. If that wasn't the case...then I understand your feelings.
Then again, I can't believe this watch cost very much & I don't care who you are...it doesn't take a lot of research to find out how much a real watch like this (still don't know if I should call it a Sub or Exp) costs and then see the sales price is way TOO low. My wife doesn't know anything about watches...but if she was going to buy me a watch she would find out the price range and then start looking. If she would run across something like this were the seller would probably say, "I'll give you a great deal...for only $150 bucks you can have a 'real' Rolex" I guarantee she would walk knowing it was BS. The biggest tragedy of all is if your friend was suckered into paying thousands of $'s for this watch...then I think he/she should be even more mad than you. Cheers. |

It's OK to post this kind of stuff, as everyone on this forum knows.....we were not born with knowledge, we learn it. My brother bought a Rolex in New York for $300, he was so happy until he got home and realized it was a fake. We all learn....
Cheers and I hope you didn't spend a lot of $$$ on it. |
