I have an opportunity to buy a 15 model JC DSD for around 10500, near mint complete set. Should I jump on it or buy the new version? Tia

I bought the new version, but that seems like a great deal. Have heard dealers paying at least that for 116660 JC, so you would not have much, if any, risk. As far as the changes go, believe if you have a large wrist, they will make little difference. However, if you’re border-line, say 6.75” or smaller, the new version would likely fit more comfortably.

Have to agree with this. I have a wrist size of around 6.75 (maybe slightly smaller) and upgraded a few weeks ago. I can definitely feel the difference. It's more balanced in my wrist.

I would appreciate the wider bracelet and new movement, but I would struggle with if those things are worth the extra 4-5k. I guess if I was really into the watch, it would be a definite maybe.

I love the original and have no experience with the new model. The price sounds great to me.

I bought the new version due to the complete overhaul. New case, bracelet, clasp, movement, dial and handset.

Biggest difference (and least discussed), in my opinion, is that the span from top to bottom/end-link to end-link is about 2.5mm (~5%) shorter. So, it’ll fit better on more wrists, particularly if somewhat narrow across the top. The rest is nice, but less noticeable when properly fitted.
