I also enjoyed how they make “staphylococcus” sound like the next plauge. |

Yep ! It’s not like *most* normal healthy people are getting sick all the time from this stuff. Evolution has done a good job building immunity. What is actually concerning though is the growing trend of some people not immunising their kids as many severe and virtually wiped out diseases (in the western world) are making a rabid comeback.

Obviously I'm all for cleanliness but the way some people faff about constantly bleaching & wiping surfaces and squirting hand sanitizer about like it's going out of fashion, you'd think there's been a sudden out break of bubonic plague..! My old granny used to say..'this house is clean enough to be healthy & dirty enough to be happy..' and then give me a cheeky wink... I never picked up on the significance of the cheeky wink when I was a nipper, but the penny just dropped... Omg granny you cheeky little monkey! Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk

This huge[evolutionary]success has its reasons. Bacteria are very intelligent creatures; that is the only way of saying it, even if their intelligence is not being guided by a mind with feelings, intentions, and a conscious point of view. They[bacteria]can sense the conditions of their environment and react in ways advantageous to the continuation of their lives. They can communicate among themselves-no words, it is true, but the molecules with which they signal speak volumes. Historically, the world of bacteria-cells without nuclei, known as prokaryotes-was followed, about 2 billion years later, by the far more complicated world of nucleated cells, or eukaryotes. Multicellular organisms, or metazoans, came next, 700 to 600 million years ago...." -Antonio Damasio from The Strange Order of Things (Kindle edition)

* Touchscreen bacteria
Yep! It must be expected that public touchscreens have all kinds of bacteria and on them.
All one can do is wash your hands often throughout the day and limit touching things in public whenever you can.

Once upon a time we had public telephones and we survived.
