I got the same squeaky noises on my BLNR and SD43 from the bracelet when it was new and it went away in a couple of months. But the noise came back on my SD43 but not on the BLNR and it only goes away when I wash it in warm water but it comes back again a few hours later. To the OP, does this happen to you as well?

I've had a few, it goes away except on my Expll the flip lock was tighter than normal and one drop of sewing machine oil on each side took care of that Immediately

There are quite a few YouTube videos on this subject and how to fix it.

I think swimming with my oyster bracelets keeps them squeaky clean. Both squeak like new.

The squeaking is a design feature.

On SDs it helps spearfishing divers attract larger pelagic prey into range.

The new oyster bracelet squeak is one of my favorite noises. When it stops it means it’s time to buy a new watch.

Yes...that squeak has cost me a lot of money over the years! Not in trying to prevent it, but in my need to replicate it!!!

Just wanted to update the thread - 5 weeks in, worn daily (even slept in). Just noticed today the squeak is gone.

Any chance someone knows how to get it back? Lol

I'm glad this topic got bumped back to the top. I just got a DSSD last week and the squeak was concerning me; now I know it's the new car smell equivalent and will enjoy it

Squeaks are COMPLETELY normal for a brand new stainless Rolex!

The squeak is a good thing. It means you just purchased a brand new Rolex. It’s normal. Trying a little soap and water if it bothers you.

My Daytona still squeaks after 2 years....just the clasp that is. But a sign of a watch that isn't fully broken in yet. Enjoy it while you still have it. Rolex has some very nice tight tolerances.

Back in the 80s we used to spray them with Pledge Furniture Polish. (The old formulation carnauba wax in water suspension. The new formulations may work but I'm not sure.) It lubricated shined and protected. Didn't do anything for the rattle though.
