16600 date issue

Having a little issue with my 16600 when changing the date. First the watch winds and keeps time just fine but it seems to have issues engaging the "gears" to change the date. I sometimes have to move it back and forth between the winding position and time position before it will catch the gears in the date change position. Normal or something to be concerned about? I don't have this issue with my 116600 or 116610, they have a very positive engagement when the crown is in the date position. Come to think about it, my 16710 is a little tricky too

When in winding position, if you wiggle the crown a bit by turning it clockwise very slightly, then counter clockwise very slightly, it will be easier to pull the crown into the date change position.

I read about this trick on here a while back, and it works for me
