Trade 2 for 1?

I move in and out of watch's like a child. I currently have a 5 digit Sub, 5 digit TT sub, 6 digit YG sub and a RG DD green dial that I just bought and do like both the solid sub and the DD. I have never owned a platinum watch and was thinking about trading both on a platinum DD 2018 used, which would cost less than the 2 watches I have. I know it’s all about personal preference but was looking to see what others would do. I definitely don’t want to go to something that would require out of pocket money. I’m not a fan of AP I really do like Rolex more than other brands.

I'd love to own a Plat DD40 one day.

I wouldn’t trade personally. You have the DD already and a nice collection I might say. I wouldn’t trade those 2 nice watches for the one platinum watch

You lost me somewhere...
You named 4 watches you own and didn’t say which 2 you’d trade.

1. a 5 digit Sub
2. 5 digit TT sub
3. 6 digit YG sub
4. RG DD green dial

So which are you trading?

i wouldn't trade a yg sub and rg dd for a plat dd

trading a dd up for another dd doesn't make sense to me especially when you have the rg olive which is special on its own

Almost unanimous opinions to keep what I have. I really do like the YG Sub and the DD, I’ve just never had a platinum so I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone had the same experience and how they felt about it after.

Thanks - understand the question better now. You would be giving up too much value IMHO. You could sell them both, buy a pre-owned platinum DD, and have a good deal of cash left over.

Yes, probably in the ballpark of $10k.

platinum is a heavy hitter. If I got the Urge, I would do it...

Besides once you have the platinum, you can buy another PM Rolex whenever you wanted..

The DD should be in YG or RG imho. A Daytona in Pt is another story

I thought about the Daytona but I tend to not keep watches very long and thought that it would be difficult to sell because of the cost of one.

I have owned three Platinum DD II's over the years and really liked the watches. The Platinum wears great and is a special metal to me. The only reason I sold each time is it took so much value in my collection and I wanted more watches. For the values of the two watches you will trade I would look at the Platinum Daytona. In the pre-owned market you are close and it is a step beyond the DD in my opinion.

Count me in with those suggesting you shouldn't do this trade.
