[QUOTE=pigman08;9186569]Do it... A 16610 was my first Rolex in 1999, and it’s a keeper. I haven’t owned one, but I’ve worn a couple of 6 digit GMT’s, and the aesthetics just don’t do it for me. While I really like the feel of the newer bracelets, I’ve come to realize that the case & dial are the most important criteria for me, and the older Exp II, Sub, and GMT simply beat out their newer counterparts in the looks department.

Thanks for the encouragement. Traveled down to Honolulu Time Service at lunch today to do the trade, only to be told they just sold their last 16610 yesterday.

But they had a 16610LV Z serial number available!!! No brainer to trade in the 116710 for it!

I don’t think you’re crazy. You like what you like. So if this works better...then why not?

Life’s too short to not have what you want.

Happy Holidays!

Agreed. The aluminum bezels pricing is going to where it should be. Up. They’re bangers. I totally support a trade for a preceramic sub!!

The LV is like twice the price of the LN....
You need to relax and figure out what you really want!!
The Kermit is going to require 4- $5k extra on your end

I respect the 6-digits but they do nothing for me visually. I think the 5-digits look superior. It's a matter of opinion. Some guys like fat women, I like the slim ones haha. :D

16600 and 16610 are the best looking watches ever made, in my opinion.

My friend John Holbrook put it nicely here:

I prefer my 16610 over the newer model although I do like the glidelock bracelet but what I don't like about it is the clasp which is bigger.
