Feedback from Tudor 58 owners

I am interested in purchasing a Tudor 58 and wanted to get some feedback from current owners on how you are liking it. I have never owned a Tudor BB before but I am really impressed with this reference. I've heard some say it is comparable to 5 digit submariners. For those who also own Rolex watches has the 58 gotten much wrist time? Appreciate the input and happy holidays!

One word. Awesome

58 has been on my wrist for almost 7 weeks, BLNR hasn’t. The lume is awesome and it’s really well balanced on the wrist. I love the everose accents on the dial and bezel. Nice vintage feel to it. But with all the modern refinements.

Go for it! You won’t regret it!!!

There's already a huge amount of posts dedicated to the 58 on the boards to read. All good too!

I don’t own a 58....but....

I have owned my first Tudor (a GMT) for four months now, and absolutely love it. I have tried the 58 on twice, and think it’s a great watch. It is also a lot of bang for your buck. I would agree that it wears like a 5 digit Rolex.

If it tickles your fancy, then I say go for it.

This pic was taken earlier this week. I came home with the Explorer, but it could easily have been the 58.

i had the watch for a week before i returned it (to the rolex shop at dubai airport). it came on the nato and i found it quite likable. what i found too much is the retro - touch with the gilt-gold accents on the dial sand bezel. vintage is fine with me but not the excessive retro styling.

Mine wears exactly like my 14060M which I sadly sold 5 years ago. Imagine a pre-ceramic Submariner but with far better bezel action (only 60 click though), and a solid bracelet.

It’s a great watch, but if the gilt/ cream dial isn’t for you, I suspect plenty more colour options will be along in a few months.

The 58 is super, if it had Rolex on the dial it would be very very very hard to find and probably twice retail at the greys..

I wanted the BB58 from the moment that I saw it back in March.
In October mine arrived and it has been on my wrist virtually every day since.
It's the perfect size for me and can be worn on all occasions.
Mine came fitted on the bracelet - which I haven't used yet. But instead I use the leather strap and eventually I hope to complete the package by getting the NATO.

Mine came on steel as well. I have an OEM strap coming. In the meantime the C&B Chevron is pretty good.

I’ll be a dissenting opinion. I had one for a few weeks, and while I thought it was a cool watch that was nicely executed, it just didn’t do much for me.

It may be blasphemy to say here, but the newly released Oris Divers 65 (40mm) has more character and warmth than the BB58 does...love wearing mine and cost like 1/3 of the price...

Each to their own. I owned a 65 for some time. It was one of my flips to finance my 58.

Know what you’re saying. The Fifty-Eight is a very conservative watch whereas the Oris has that funky 60’s vibe (Fifty-Eight owner BTW).

I was lucky enough to pick up a 58 last Sunday after calling about 6 ADs within a 50 mile radius. Honestly, it's the most comfortable dive watch I've owned, and I've owned a few (Hulk, Seamaster 300 SMPc, Original Black Bay, 14060 & 16800). The bracelet and clasp are awesome (built like a tank) and the watch sits perfectly on my flat 6.5" wrist. The finishing of the case is excellent, love those chamfered lugs.

My #1 complaint with dive watches is many of them have thick case backs that protrude from the back of the case. The thick case back makes the rest of the watch sit up off of my wrist which I can't stand as I find it rather uncomfortable. The 58 has a thin case back that barely sticks out form the case which means the watch sits flush to your wrist.

I was hesitant about the bezel color and faux lume at first but it's really grown on me. It's not gold like it appers in many photos. The hands and hour markers a a light rose gold color and the bezel is more of a tanish/browish gold color. It has a great warmth to it.

If you can find one, I'd go for it without hesitation.

Love mine wear it to work (banking) and had so many compliments due to the gold around the bezel which stands out, whereas my colleague who wears a sub no one notices!

I was actually referring to the newly released version with a very similar design aesthetic:

It wears virtually the same and is quite thin for a diver...plus the bronze bezel gives it a bit more character.

The BB58 is a great watch, but it’s a really crowded field.

Just picked mine up yesterday and am really loving it.
I have the feeling my 16710 and BLNR will stay at home for many weeks to come.
The 58 feels so comfy and well built.
Go for it!

I love mine. It has gained 15 seconds between the latest time change and yesterday. Pretty great!
